Illinois Roofing Contractor, Licensed

Here is some information to be aware, that a Licensed Illinois Roofing Contract will have over non-licensed Illinois Roofing Contractor.


Section 1460.20 Liability Insurance Requirements

a) Each applicant for a certification as a roofing contractor shall obtain, and maintain for the duration of such certification, public liability and property damage insurance in the minimum amount and form specified below:

1) $250,000 for each occurrence of property damage; and

2) $500,000 for each occurrence of personal injury or bodily harm.

b) Such policy shall provide that it cannot be cancelled except upon written notification to the Department at least 30 days prior to the date of cancellation.

Certifications must be requested by mail.
Please submit your request in writing to:
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
Division of Professional Regulation
320 West Washington Street, 3rd Floor
Springfield, Illinois 62786
Please include your name, address, license number, social security number, date of birth, and the
name and address of the State Board where you want the certification sent, along with the required
fee listed below.
Certification fees in the form of a check or money order payable to the Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation must be submitted with your request.
